Sawangan Creative Space in Depok City Offers Private Offices to Meeting Rooms

berita.depok.go.id - Along with the times, the creative industry and the digital world are increasingly in demand by the younger generation. Therefore, more and more creative spaces are popping up to support the abilities and creativity of art activists.
If usually we can only watch art performances at certain events, in this creative area you can be satisfied enjoying it. That concept is promoted by Sawangan Creative Space in Sawangan District.
At Sawangan Creative Space, we can find Co-working Space, private offices to meeting rooms in one building.
"For example, there are friends who want projects like crafting classes, need a place for those who don't have a place, here we can run a collaboration. Or want to hold a seminar, we also have several halls with quite a large capacity," said Co-Founder Sawangan Creative Space, Indraloka Putra Santoso, to berita.depok.go.id, Friday (30/05/23).
Carrying an industrial concept in its building, Sawangan Creative Space has a total of eight multipurpose rooms that can be used for various activities. Starting from a meeting room with a capacity of six people to a hall that can accommodate up to more than 100 people.
Initially in 2018, the building used by Sawangan Creative Space was a building owned by a children's fashion brand. However, the brand experienced a decline, until it finally went out of business. Until a year the abandoned building was not taken care of.
"Then we take over, we will make this creative space a new place in 2023," he explained.
He said that in Sawangan there are many artistic activists who have potential, both in painting, music and crafting. However, they mostly choose to gather at cafes rather than take advantage of co-working spaces.
"Now, with this place, we hope to be able to build collaborations, create activity events that can bring honor to the name of Sawangan and the city of Depok," he said.
"Sawangan Creative Space was used by Dian Sastro, Baim Wong and Jerome Polin for their shooting location," he continued.
Indra also sees that the potential for startups in Depok City is very promising, it only remains to see how the potential of the actors can be managed properly.
"With this new us, we hope to be assisted in promoting or collaborating on inviting Depok City Government friends to come here, so this place is crowded," he concluded. (JD 12/ED 01/EUD 04).
